Sports Management Summit SetRegistration for the Worcester Sports Management Summit is open for attendees and vendors here The Worcester Bravehearts will host the City of Worcester's first Sports Management Summit on January 18, 2019 at Worcester State University's Wellness Center. The Summit will be a full day of discussions and idea-sharing about the sports industry and is designed to help college students and recent graduates network with professionals in the industry. The day will feature six different panel discussions and breakout sessions (see schedule here), a job & internship fair, and a keynote address by Michael Aresco, Commissioner of the American Athletic Conference, to cap off the afternoon. In the evening, the Bravehearts will work with the Worcester Railers Hockey Club to offer behind-the-scenes tours of the DCU Center so that guests can see how everything comes together on a game night. The Railers will host Newfoundland that evening at 7:00 PM. "With Sports Management majors on the rise at Central MA schools such as Nichols College, Assumption College, Becker College, and Anna Maria College, the Bravehearts wanted to be a leader in the sports industry by helping those students connect with executives who could provide them career opportunities," said Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson. The Summit is also expected to draw students from UMass-Amherst, Southern New Hampshire University, Franklin Pierce and other schools who offer academic paths that lead to careers in sports & entertainment.
