Bravehearts Attendance Up 30% from 2021
Worcester, MA - The Worcester Bravehearts announced today their average attendance for the 2022 season was 1,602, a 30% bump from the previous season of 1,229. The team accounted for five sellouts as well, happening on May 27th, June 7th and 8th, July 15th, and August 6th.
The team also experienced their best online ticket sales month in history this past July, surpassing their previous record month of July, 2019. General Manager Dave Peterson believes that the month of July was a very big step in the right direction to continuing to be one of the country’s premier Summer Collegiate baseball teams.
“I don’t think many people believed us at first when we launched all of our new ideas,” said Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson. “Once people came and saw the Worcester Bravehearts experience, they wanted to come back. That was the biggest constant we noticed, and that is why our attendance jumped in July.”
In the 2022 offseason, the Bravehearts released their Twenty-Twenty-You Campaign, promising to make the season as interactive as possible.
“Some of the wild promotions you see at a Bravehearts game, you will never see anywhere else”, said Bravehearts Director of Fan Experience Donny Porcaro. “We always strive for great customer service, but this year we put a big emphasis on entertainment as well. We had a 50-person conga line mid-game, a dance party on top of our dugout, and a game where we played kickball for an inning. When people know they can come to a game and see something like that, they are going to want to come back and see what the next crazy thing we do will be. Especially if it’s something new every game.”
The Bravehearts are already in “idea season” for 2023 as the team plans its 10th anniversary celebrations. The Worcester Bravehearts would like to thank all of the fans for their support during the 2022 season, and the team looks forward to 2023. |
