Jake-Or-Treat Returns on HalloweenWorcester, MA - The Worcester Bravehearts have announced today that they will continue their annual Jake-or-Treat event, with an extra twist of two more team mascots being added. Bravehearts mascot Jake The Lion will be joined by Trax of the Worcester Railers and Arthur of the Massachusetts Pirates as they will go around neighborhoods across Central Massachusetts to trick-or-treat with some lucky fans.
Fans can sign up for a chance to win a trick-or-treat experience with the three mascots by going to the Jake-Or-Treat Page here and sharing why the teams should come to their neighborhood. The event is completely free to sign up.
“We want to make this a super cool experience for our younger fans,” said Bravehearts Director of Fan Experience Donny Porcaro. “I grew up in Worcester in the days of the Tornadoes, Surge and Sharks. If you were to tell me I got to Trick-or-Treat with their mascots when I was younger, it would’ve been the best day of my life. We want to give the kids in the area that experience.”
The Worcester Bravehearts and Railers are also planning to kick-off their Ticket-to-Read Program this month, where the teams will visit local schools promoting the importance of reading and offering free tickets for students who read 10 books per month.
"The Railers are so excited to once again get to team up with the Bravehearts, this time to make Halloween special,” said Railers Community Engagement Coordinator Delaney Galbraith. “For us, it is really important to give back to the community and we are thrilled to get to do this with the Bravehearts and Pirates.”
The Bravehearts and Pirates also have a long-running partnership with the Massachusetts Pirates. The two teams have partnered together for the previous two seasons to host a “Worcester Sports Showcase” where fans can enjoy two Worcester Sports teams on the same day, with the Bravehearts playing a day game and the Pirates playing at night. The teams would offer a special “buy one-get one ticket” where a ticket for one team would get you admission to both games.
“We are very excited to have Arthur join in on the fun this year,” said Pirates Director of Marketing Caitlyn Dyer. “The Pirates are always looking for ways to get involved. Partnering with the Bravehearts and Railers allows us to meet new fans and build new community relationships!”
The 2022 Jake-or-Treat event will mark the sixth time the Bravehearts and Jake The Lion traveled into communities to Trick-or-Treat with kids.
