Bravehearts Sell-Out 6/6 & 6/7 GamesWorcester, MA- The Worcester Bravehearts announced today that their June 6th and June 7th games are officially sold out. This announcement marks the earliest the Bravehearts have been able to announce a sell-out in their 10-year team history, with over two months before the first pitch of either game.
The Bravehearts June 6th and June 7th games are their annual “You-Choose-The-Rules” games where the team asks students attending to submit rules prior to the game. The team then plays by one new fan-suggested rule per inning.
With the announcement, the Bravehearts have decided to add a third “You-Choose-The-Rules” Game in a first-of-its-kind Bravehearts Alumni Game on July 28th under the lights at Fitton Field. The game will feature Bravehearts players from the last 9 years and fans will have the opportunity to submit rules at Bravehearts games throughout the season.
“We’ve always had success with our Field Trip Days,” said Bravehearts Director of Fan Experience Donny Porcaro. “Adding the You-Choose-The-Rules aspect grew this to another level. We had people tell us they never went to a baseball game because it was boring, but they loved everything about our version of baseball.”
Porcaro says the July 28th You-Choose-The-Rules game will be a full showcase of wild baseball rules.
“Because it’s our alumni and technically not a league-scheduled game, we have an opportunity to get as crazy as we want. The rules you see during our Alumni Game will be unlike anything yet. There’s still time to submit rules, so get creative.”
Fans wishing to submit rules can fill out the form here for a chance to see their rule live in action.
Schools looking for field trips will still have the opportunity to come out to a Bravehearts game, as there are limited tickets available for the team’s May 24th “Opening Morning” game. Schools can also book on Friday Night games and turn it into a PTO Fundraiser.
“It’s so exciting to see the team flourish after it seemed so many in the community thought we would be declining by now,” said Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson. “This isn’t just the team saying we’re here to stay anymore, there are numbers to back it up. We will continue to grow.
Single game tickets are now available for Opening Morning on May 24th, Opening Night on May 26th and all other Bravehearts home games. Tickets can be purchased by going to WorcesterBravehearts.com or by calling the Bravehearts Office at 508-438-3773.
