Worcester, MA- The Worcester Bravehearts will host Opening Night this Friday, May 26th at 6:30 PM and the team has plenty of surprises in store. Here are Ten things you need to know leading up to Worcester Bravehearts Opening Night.
1. 10! Years: The Worcester Bravehearts will be celebrating their 10th season in 2023. This will make the Bravehearts the longest tenured baseball team in the history of Worcester.
2. Rise and Shine! For the first time in their history, the Bravehearts had an “Opening Morning” Game. In a Kid’s Only baseball game, the team welcomed over 2,000 students from schools around Central Massachusetts. Friday’s game will be open to the general public and will be the official “Home Opener” for the team.
3. Family Reunion: As part of their 10-year celebration, the Bravehearts will have notable players from every year of the team’s existence come back for Opening Night ceremonies. Fans will recognize names from the team’s four championships as well as other notable alumni who went on to play professionally.
4. The Future is Bright: The Bravehearts over the last couple of seasons have worn bright neon green uniforms known as “Friday Night Brights” during their Friday Night Home games. This year, the team will have an ever brighter surprise on Opening Night.
5. Trolley Bar: On Opening Night, the Bravehearts will debut their new Trolley Bar in left field. A trolley originally owned by the Worcester Men of Song, who popularly used it during the Worcester Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, has been completely renovated and turned into a new hangout spot in the ballpark! The Trolly is open to everyone and will serve craft beer from local Worcester Breweries such as Redemption Rock and Greater Good.
6. More Home Runs! During every Sunday Home Game, the Bravehearts will host a post-game home run derby. These derbies will feature current and former Bravehearts players, along with possibly some celebrity guests. All Kid’s who sign up for the Bravehearts Free Kid’s Club will also receive free entry to these Sunday Games and Home Run Derbies.
7. Rocking Out! Don’t like Baseball? Come to the Bravehearts on Saturdays during the team’s live Concert Series. Every Saturday the team will host a live convert underneath the Left Field Hospitality Tent. Admission is $25, or free with a Bravehearts All-You-Can-Eat Ticket. Companies who book employee outings on Saturdays will also be able to stay underneath the tent to enjoy the post-cookout concert.
8. A Big Surprise? Rumors are swirling the Bravehearts will have a second surprise for Friday’s game who will participate in the action……..
9. Still Accepting Rules! On June 6th and 7th and July 28th the Bravehearts will host their annual “You-Choose-The-Rules” Games. Fans can still submit rules for this years games on the team’s website.
10. FREE PARKING! As always, the Worcester Bravehearts will offer free parking at every home game.
